​For students ages 4-5, I usually use the Music for Little Mozarts. These story-driven books introduce students to Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear who go on many adventures and meet new characters, all of whom are based on or connected to historical composers. They learn note reading, basic music theory, and music history along the way.

Class Structure

Classes at this level are 45 minutes. Lessons are 45 minutes and include playing though assigned songs, learning new ones, hands-on rhythm activities, and theory review games ​

Companion App

The lesson book assignments for Music for Little Mozarts are available in the iPad companion app we use in the studio, Piano Maestro. This app checks the students' notes and rhythm and by practicing on it they earn stars, ranks, and tickets in the monthly practice drawing.
